The RNC propagandist, David Himbara has such an ignorant audience that it incites him to publish extremely false information. Amongst his audience are his sponsors Museveni and Rujugiro; there is no any other way to justify his lame posts.
In his latest post, he attempted to claim that the exchange between former Rwandan ambassador to the UN and Samantha Powers the former US ambassador to the UN is likely to result to the US cutting its aid to Rwanda and ruin the relations between two countries.
The funniest part of Himbara a.k.a Murunganwa’s post is that it totally lacks basic research. Oh, not to mention that he claims to be a professor yet he can’t do basic research!
In invoking Samatha Powers who currently heads USAID, Himbara wrote that ‘American bilateral foreign aid to Rwanda averaged US$177.9 million in 2018 and 2019’.
Himbara literally didn’t check USAID website which states that, “On Thursday, July 2, 2020, the Government of Rwanda and the United States Government, represented by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), signed a five-year agreement to commit 605 Billion Rwandan Francs [about US$ 605 Million] to Rwanda’s development efforts” the same content is on the US Embassy and on several news websites; however, the ‘fake professor’ can’t see that because he is incited by his ignorant sponsors.
In his attempt to drive the narrative that there is a strain in the US-Rwanda relations, he forgets that facts out there say the contrary. Just the most recent investment of PPE and medical supplies from the US to Rwanda is valued at Rwf 147 million and a few months ago the U.S. Department of Defense’s Overseas Humanitarian Disaster Assistance and Civic Aid (OHDACA)’s donations to Rwanda stood at Rwf 1.5 billion worth of PPE, X-ray machines, and other equipment to fight COVID-19.
Other U.S. COVID-19 support to Rwanda to date includes: more than 1.2 million doses of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines; 100 state-of-the-art ventilators; construction of handwashing stations across Rwanda; public communications to fight COVID-19; vehicles to support contact tracing; patient monitors, hospital beds, and intensive care unit equipment; and other medical supplies such as biohazard bags, alcohol, hand washing soap, and PPE; and other support.
How is that strained relations? In fact, it’s improved relations and Himbara’s sponsors are simply jealous hence they deploy him to lie despite being out of lies. Miserable Himbara.
