The real Noël Zihabamwe

For several years now, a Rwandan by the name of Noel Zihabamwe has duped a few westerners especially those in Australia with the false allegation that his relatives were abducted by the Rwandan government.
On many occasions, he walked away with the lies but many a time he failed to make a convincing argument on what is so special about his little known illiterate relatives to draw the attention of a whole government

The latest among those who fall prey to Zihabamwe is the Australian Human Rights Institute and the UN Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances alleging that his brothers Jean Nsengimana and Antoine Zihabamwe were abducted by the Rwandan government.

This is an outright lie and here is the truth.

Reliable sources have it on record that Noel Zihabamwe himself facilitated and financed his brothers to move to a neighboring country before he would start his fabrications. This was also confirmed by Shyaka Gilbert, a YouTuber, who was also radicalized by Noel Zihabamwe, who facilitated him to go to exile where he met Zihabamwe’s brothers.

When Shyaka returned home after realizing that Zihabamwe was part of the schemers that duped him, he spilled the beans. All Shyaka’s testimonies are on YouTube. One can only hope that the Australian Human Rights Institute and the UN Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances will look out for them and get all facts right. That is if they are not deliberately ignoring facts.

Also, it is equally important for Australian Human Rights Institute and the UN Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances to look into Zihabamwe’s credentials.

Zibahamwe is a member of an offshoot of the Rwanda National Congress (RNC) that calls itself Rwanda Alliance for National Pact (RANP-Abaryankuna) that was founded by Cassien Ntamuhanga following his escape from prison in Rwanda- through a neighboring country too, to Southern Africa. It is from there that they have established a network of members mainly in Europe and Australia.

It is widely known that the Abaryankuna has been recruiting members and using the same corridor that Ntamuhanga is said to have used where they remain for some time as they are facilitated with travel documents before they relocate to Southern Africa, Europe, and Australia. Kigali authorities have known several dozens of Abaryankuna recruits.

If the Australian Human Rights Institute and the UN Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances reached out to Rwanda for clarification, they would get all facts correct. However, if they choose a one-sided false story, it is because it’s what they want and their decisions won’t impact on Rwanda at all.
