It’s been approximately 4 years since unrepentant criminal Ingabire Victoire Umuhoza (IVU) benefitted from the presidential clemency and got released from prison, only to start abusing the parole by repeating the very same crimes that had seen her sentenced to 15 years.
Those crimes include inciting the masses to revolt against the government, forming armed groups to destabilize the country and minimizing the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
The rogue woman repeats these crimes with the help of some Western propaganda channels that give her platforms in her constant futile efforts to fully win the praise of a “legitimate opposition figure” that she is not and won’t be.
For instance, the unrepentant criminal in a couple of weeks ago blatantly took to a Belgian Newspaper, “Le Vif” to claim that there are currently conflict positions among the Rwandan people due to the “absence of a memorial to the victims of war crimes committed in Rwanda” – assertions that openly espouse the double-genocide theory.
The unrepentant genocide denier Ingabire was echoing an incendiary statement she made in 2010 upon her return from the Netherlands, that time she incensed Genocide survivors when she said, right at the Gisozi memorial site, that “it was a symbol of the Genocide against the Tutsi only, but Hutu victims also had to be remembered.”
On the other hand, RUD-Urunana, a terror outfit which is affiliated with Ingabire’s so-called “political party”, FDU-Inkingi launched a terror attack that claimed the lives of 14 residents of Kinigi Sector in Musanze District in 2019. Ingabire was too quick to disown her terrorist outfit in attempt to dodge the prosecution well-knowing it’s the same crime (forming armed groups to destabilize the country) that had taken her to prison before.
In the very same year, Ingabire was caught in another criminality inciting residents of Ngoma District to revolt against the government – it was through what she had referred to as “a meeting” to mobilize the residents towards endorsing her illegal political party.
While addressing the CHOGM presser in Kigali over the weekend, President Kagame brought it out clearly that “Ingabire is not in prison but should be in prison now” revealing that there are “some people (who) decided to make that person an angel of freedom and democracy.”
The unrepentant IVU is increasingly committing crimes that ought to go unnoticed as far as accountability is concerned, and she ignores that she is yet to enjoy full freedom as per provisions of article 250 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (Law No. 30/2013 of 24/5/2013).
Law enforcers should consider revoking this revisionist criminal’s pardon so that she serves the rest of her sentence. Justice delayed is justice denied. Ingabire is no different with other Rwandan citizens, she must held to account for her crimes.
