The lives of Kinyarwanda-speaking Congolese Tutsis (as well as Rwandan citizens living in DRC) are in more danger as the bloodthirsty Mai Mai militia announced a plan to join hands with FARDC (Congolese army) and their partners the notorious FDLR. The aim of this evil alliance is the speedy execution of a silent genocide that Kabila and FDLR are perpetrating against Congolese Tutsi citizens, whom Kinshasa labels “enemies of the country.”
In a videotaped message that is making rounds on social media, a certain “Gen” John Makanaki Kasimbira of the Mai Mai is heard chest-thumbing that the militia is set to join Kinshasa’s efforts in getting rid of “whoever relates to Rwanda.” The militia leader set the record straight that their prime target is “Banyamulenge and Tutsis of Rwandan origin”.
Mai Mai and blacklisted FDLR genocidal group are part of militia outfits and terrorist organizations that are in bed with Tshisekedi regime, and those two particular cabals of ruthless killers play a bigger part in witch-hunting Kinyarwanda-speaking Congolese Tutsi citizens and Rwandan citizens living in DRC.
Even the other governments internationally have seen this, with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken recently remarking: “We know that Rwandans are also alarmed justifiably by the increase in hate speech, in the DRC targeting Rwandaphones.”
“The United States will continue to condemn such unacceptable and dangerous rhetoric and I encourage President Tshisekedi as government to do the same,” Blinken added.
The persecution of Tutsis in the DRC happens in broad daylight. The regime set a $15,000 bounty to whoever kills high-profile Congolese Tutsis in the DR Congo government.
These are crimes against humanity.
Tshisekedi and his henchmen have to be held accountable.
