Kinshasa caught pants down, attempting to cleanse FDLR in Italian Ambassador’s death

Congolese ruler Tshisekedi’s failed regime has yet again proved to the world that its marriage with the blacklisted genocidal and terrorist group FDLR remains intact, despite its pretenses otherwise. Now Kinshasa heinously is attempting to absolve the terrorist FDLR of killing Italian ambassador to DRC Luca Attanasio in 2021, and two other individuals.

To everyone’s surprise, Tshisekedi’s kangaroo court on Wednesday of this week held a show trial in which the alleged assailants of the Italian diplomat were reduced to mere “robbers of livestock who to some extent operate along highways”, a pronouncement that is only meant for gullible and naïve souls.

However, Kinshasa did nothing other than shooting itself in the foot since the very same regime had confirmed FDLR as the culprit in the death of the former Italian envoy, who died from injuries sustained when the World Food Programme (WFP) convoy in which he was travelling came under gunfire near Goma in February 2021.

No one should ever be surprised by the Kinshasa regime’s double standards when it comes to FDLR as the two resorted to fostering their unholy alliance against Rwanda which on several occasions resulted in multiple shelling and hit-and-run attacks in Rwanda claiming lives of unarmed innocent Rwandans.

On the other hand, the Congolese regime has decided to downplay Rwanda’s quest to arrest FDLR criminals, bring them to book or deport them to face trial for their role in the 1994 Genocide against Tutsi, as well as other crimes of terrorism that they committed afterwards.

But, seemingly, nothing will separate the bumbling and criminal Tshisekedi regime from the genocidal FDLR. But Kinshasa will regret its stance, since attempting to give FDLR legitimacy will always boomerang – causing even more instability in DRC, and the region at large.
